I grew up in Wahoo Nebraska born and raised here. I've been wrestling in the wahoo wrestling clubs since 1977. I come from a family of six three of the four boys all wrestled at least up until Junior high.
I have five children three boys all of which who have and still wrestle in the wahoo wrestling club. I pretty much coach every sport my children are involved in from girls basketball to softball to baseball to football to track to wrestling and occasionally ping pong.
I coached high school wrestling at Ansley, Elkhorn high School, St. Wenceslaus, and Wahoo high School.
My son's Tucker, Cooper, and Thatcher will all hopefully continue the tradition at the Hancock household. Currently the boys have racked up 31 years of competitive wrestling and including highschool around 850 matches and counting.
I have an opportunity to participate in almost every high school sport and some collegiate sports. In my assumption the most challenging, rewarding, heartbreaking, accelerating sport of all is wrestling. Is the one sport that teaches you everything you need to know about yourself... Good and bad.
Once on a trip to Valparaiso Nebraska I wrestled a yeti.
